How it all began
Eyecatcher Arts was founded by artist and visual designer Karen Stone with a simple but powerful vision. To create a nurturing, inspiring space where students of all ages could genuinely thrive creatively.
Karen started her creative career in display design before setting up the little art school in Woonona. What began as a passion project has grown into a beloved studio where students come not just to make art, but to find confidence, calm, and joy.
Classes are run in deliberately small groups, allowing individual attention while also building a wonderful sense of team spirit and harmony. There are no rigid projects here. Students are encouraged to explore, experiment, and develop their own unique style at their own pace.
"Creative thinking follows through in all facets of life."
What drives us
Creative thinking is beneficial regardless of the path you follow in life. The therapeutic benefits of practising art can nurture a healthy, happy mind and that's at the heart of everything we do.
Individual Focus
Every student is unique. We foster their own style and talent without over-structured projects that limit creativity.
No Pressure
Students explore new mediums and techniques freely, without feeling pressured to achieve a finished product.
Small Classes
Deliberately small groups mean every student gets real one-on-one time and genuine individual attention.
Craftsmanship
We value skill and teach students to respect the talents of others. Whether they're an artist, a plumber, or a scientist.
