This is a class for students who  show a deep interest in making art and can focus & follow set projects with ease, understanding the benefits of what they can learn.
I'm excited to offer this new set of classes that teach various craft skills.
In this set of classes I will be focusing on a particular craft or medium for the whole term. There are many crafts that are used in the making of artworks and old crafts are often reborn in a contemporary way to fit a new era. They are also a lovely pastime that one can return to at any stage in life and often a mediative practice a great tool to have in our often busy lives.
Textile class

• This is an introduction to the art of textiles. For students who are interested in fashion, interior design, construction in fabric (creating clothing or sculpture) 
• Decorative arts such as embroidery and rag rugging and simply the enjoyment of creating with the many accessible crafts that we can explore.
• Students will make sample squares and create small cushions.

Skills we will learn

• Painting fabric- Sewing buttons- Embroidery stitches- Applique - Patchwork-Machine sewing
• The projects will enable students to go at their own pace and allow for them to take the project in various directions to suit various levels of ability. 
• Giving all students the opportunity to learn sewing skills & techniques combined with creativity.
